Auditions - In(hair)itance

Men and women 25 - 50 Years old, KwaZulu-Natal

Auditions are now open for "In(hair)itance" , an experimental theatre piece exploring identity, hair, and family dynamics.

Roles:
THE MOTHER: A so-called coloured woman

She has looser textured air than The Girl Child, but her lived experience has made her sensitive to issues of texturism, and she tries to instill the value of self-love in her daughter that she never had.

THE FATHER: A so-called coloured man

The Father has afro textured hair, and almost pathological need to assimilate. He avoids his complex relationship to his identity with his controlling nature.

Audition Dates: 6th & 7th January 2025

Rehearsals: 7th Feb - 5th March 2025

Performance Run: 6th - 16th March 2025
