Men and women 20 - 49 Years old, Western Cape

AUDITIONS OPEN FOR STILL HERE / NOG HIER

You’ll receive a short script for your chosen character. In-person auditions will be held at @theatrearts.obs on April 12 or submit a self-tape by April 11.

This bilingual one-act play runs at Kaapstad Toneelhuis in July, with rehearsals starting late April.

They are casting for two roles:

Jess (Late 20s – Early 30s)
- Emotionally intuitive, direct yet vulnerable.
- Caught between love and self-preservation.

Looking for: An actor with depth and subtle emotion. Afrikaans is a plus, but not required.

Hannes (30s–40s)
- Brooding, passionate, and conflicted.
- Struggles with emotional depth and avoidance, often retreating into Afrikaans when feelings run too deep.

Looking for: An actor with prsence and subtle intensity. Must be comfortable speaking Afrikaans.

Actors should be comfortable with naturalistic performance and nuanced emotion.

Afrikaans fluency is required for Hannes.

This is a collaborative project, and script workshopping during rehearsals is welcomed, with guidance from the director and producer.

The project’s funding is currently in progress.

If external funding is not secured, profits from the production will be shared equally among collaborators.
