Kids open call audition, Johannesburg

This is a open call audition for Matilda, the Musical JR.

Audition Date: Wednesday, 09 April 2025

Venue: Peoples Theatre, 163 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein (Joburg Theatre)

Start time: 13:00 Cut off time: 15:00

(NO ARRIVALS WILL BE AUDITIONED AFTER THE CUT OFF TIME OF 15:00)

Kids will be seen in order of arrival.

We're looking for child stars age 8-14 yrs old who can SING, DANCE and ACT

Kids who come to audition should go to school within a 30 min drive of the theatre to ensure early arrival to the theatre for rehearsals and performances, if they are cast in the show.

The only thing children who are auditioning will need to prepare is a song from a musical, to sing acapella or with a backtrack on a USB (no cellphones or sheet music please)

Kids will be taught some short choreography on the day and will be given a few lines to read.
