PAID: New voices of uShaka Marine Worlds Mascots, Durban
Men and women 16 - 100 Years old, KwaZulu-Natal
uShaka has brought together cultures, like no other place in Africa, into a safe, secure and clean environment that resonates the sound of fun, laughter and the spirit of togetherness.
To further their aims of making uShaka a true KZN experience they are calling on all KZN'ers, who have a flair for the dramatic, to audition to be the new voices of uShaka Mascots.
Outline:
- They are looking for 4 people to be contracted for a 1 year period as the voices of the uShaka Marine Worlds mascots: Raggie, Rusty, Slippy and Delia.
- The 4 successful applicants will be required to voice over all uShaka Mascot productions throughout the contract period. There will be approximately 6 productions per year.
- The contract requires performers to attend rehearsals as well as recording sessions. Studio and rehearsal time will vary depending on the length of the script. Performers availability will be taken into consideration however the clients deadline
is priority.
- This is a pay/performance contract. All performers will be required sign and guarantee their availability throughout the contract period.
Character Voices Needed and character outline
- 1 x Zulu male voice (Raggie) – light Zulu accent, outgoing, modern, quirky, must be able to sing
- 1 x Indian male voice (Rusty) – light Indian accent, gentle, intelligent, caring, must be able to sing
- 1 x South African English male voice (Slippy) – Surfer dude voice, full of fun, must be able to sing.
- 1 x South African English female voice (Delia) – loves to shop, up to date with all social media and celebrity gossip, very chatty, a typical girl’s girl, must be able to sing.
