Men and women 16 - 25 Years old, Western Cape

arepp:Theatre for Life will be hosting auditions this coming Friday, 12 May 2017 for their upcoming High Schools tour in Cape Town. They are looking for 4 Cape Town-based performers who are fluent in 2 languages: English, as well as either Afrikaans or isiXhosa.

QUALITIES NEEDED:
- Formal Training in Acting.
- Singing ability (formal training not essential).
- Young and energetic. Preferably under 25 years of age.
- A keen interest in and commitment to touring Applied Theatre.
- A driver's license and ability to drive the arepp:Theatre for Life vehicle.
- A flexible, adaptive, out-going personality, and a team player.
- Able to commit full-time during the day (including Saturdays) and to touring away from home.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Written and conceptual ability in English (for training and report writing).
- Fluent in English as well as an additional language (Afrikaans or isiXhosa)

AUDITION:
- Friday, 12 May 2017 | Time TBC
- Three hour group audition – ALL ARRIVE AT THE SAME TIME
- Preparation: Audition will include a facilitation game and an issue related discussion; puppetry workshop and improvisation, presentation of prepared monologues, and possible additional call-backs and interviews.

CONTRACT:
- Training and Rehearsals: 01 June 2017 - 15 June 2017 & 11 July - 25 July 2017 (note the break for the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown)
- Performance: 25 July 2017 - 08 September 2017
- Touring: Western Cape High Schools

The entire project is funding dependent, and therefore subject to change. arepp:Theatre for Life provides the vehicle and covers touring transport, per diem and accommodation costs.
