Due to so much interest in Othello: A Woman''s Story, they have decided to change the audition requirements.

The changes are only for Emilia and Cassio:

Emilia

- White or Asian transgender woman preferred BUT, we will consider a non-transgender woman if she is right for the part.
- (If you are transgender though it is important that you have transitioned from male to female, because it is an all-female cast.)
- Any height.
- Age 25-35 (Must look older than Desdemona, so if you can play/look older do still audition.)
- Long hair preferred. (Blonde, brown, or red hair if actress is white.)

Cassio

- White or Asian woman - 166cm preferred, but can be taller.
- Age 19 – 24 (Actress can be older, but must look the age.)
- Short hair or willing to cut for performances. Any colour hair.

Requirements for Othello is still the same:

Othello

- Black Woman - preferably taller than 170cm.
- Age 27- 40 (Must look older than Desdemona, so if you can play/look older do still audition.)
- Can have any hair type - long, short, or even dreadlocks.

They have also added more audition days.

Only Cape Town Auditions.

Auditions:
2nd, 3rd & 4th February 2018

Additional audition dates may be added.
