The Masque Theatre will present the stage musical version of Sister Act The Musical in June 2020 at the Masque Theatre! The production will be staged over a three week period approximately 15 shows.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The production will be directed by Matthew Kingwill with musical direction by Tersia Harley and Laura Bosman and Bryony Bosman as choreographers.

Auditions will be held as follows:

Saturday 11th January from 08h30 to 12h30 at Milnerton High School

Sunday 12th January from 08h30 to 12h30 at Milnerton High School

Callbacks will take place Saturday January 19th from 09h00 to 12h00.

Rehearsals will slowly begin February 16th and run until the production in June.

The show calls for a large diverse cast of principals with many meaty chorus and cameo roles for both men and women. The show is set in 1970’s Philladelphia so American accents are essential for all characters (except Mother Superior).
